IвЂ™ve been playing around with Ubuntu a little and they have that feature when using the Mighty Trackpad. (That is without moving cursor to titlebar, double tab and hold then drag). Drag all 5 fingers on the pad to move the front window directly. On the other hand Logitech devices for AA (supplied with or without NiMH rechargeables) I have great experiences with and IMHO recharging externally if not using alkaline is not that big of a deal. They seems to вЂњget lazyвЂќ after way too few recharges which gives me the feel I donвЂ™t really own the device (yeah I can hack a new battery in but scars the device as theyвЂ™re usually not made to be disassembled in a pretty way) but only has it for loan. IвЂ™ve bad experiences with past Logitech devices with build in LiIon or LiPol batteries. Preferably NiMH but IMHO not a requirement. Let alone the glass surface is so much needed on the old so if for nothing else then for the glass people will buy the new version.ДЄ suggestion for a new model: Please use ordinary AA or AAA batteries. And thatвЂ™s still missing the two finger tap to right click вЂ“ something that many has requested since it got out a year ago or so(!)ДЄlso why distinguish between the old and the new in regards of gestures? I donвЂ™t think youвЂ™ll sell fewer of the newer вЂ“ only that people will be more loyal to you products. On the other hand I also have the old Wireless Touchpad. вЂ¦ Perhaps someone can come up with an idea for pinch in with 5 fingers рџ‰ Open a new blank tab (control t, 5 finger tab)Д¬lose tab (control w, pinch out with all 5 fingers) Open link in new tab (control click, 4 finger tab) I personally could imagine to wire some of the gesture to: Why not add some custom ones? I can think of a few which seems to miss: In addition to the standard gestures on both win7 and win8.

I noticed this was missing right after I installed it but now after an update it seems to work like expected.ДЄ few suggestions for improvements (on both new and old). If you donвЂ™t have the SetPoint software installed yet, please visit our website to download it. If you have the Logitech SetPoint software installed, a notification will appear when the update is available for your Logitech Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650. Just double-tap on the title bar of the window you want to move and begin dragging. The same feature will work if you want to move application windows. While keeping your finger held down after the second tap, you can start dragging it and if you want to release it, simply lift your finger. With this feature, you will be able to drag an object by double-tapping it. Our first software update for the Logitech Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650 will be available this month, and will add support for double-tap to drag.

We designed all of our new Windows 8 products to accept software upgrades so you can quickly add new gestures or improve existing ones with ease. I do that alot and I struggle with the left-click 'foot' to do the same thing.This is a quick update for people using our recently announced Logitech Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650 for Windows 8. One thing I don't like - and perhaps another trick to learn - is duplicating the click, hold & drag operation of a mouse. I had to download software on each PC/laptop that I used with the Touchpad so that the touch-clicks and double-clicks would work. Which brings me to a point of the Touchpad I love. Every now and again I'd nudge that mouse and bump the right side button with usually unpleasa nt, unplanned results. I used to have an LX8 (also Logitech) which had the back button at the thumb and the forward button on the pinky side (if you right-hand the mouse). Two are the back/forward thumb buttons - absolutely the best improvement on a mouse since they went optical. I love it when it works and curse the times when it doesn't. However, there are two features of my Logitech M510 mouse that I miss dearly - and perhaps I need to learn some Touchpad-specific gestures. I bought it as a replacement for the T620 touch mouse. The Touchpad is excellent as a pointing device as its larger surface allows a quick sweep across a widescreen display. Like anything else - learn to drive it and I'm sure you'll love driving it!
